Seniors

Hello and welcome to the senior section at Wyboston Lakes Golf Club. I have been a member here since 2017, having previously played at The Cromwell and Rutland Water. My handicap hasn’t necessarily improved over the years but that doesn’t matter – I still enjoy the game and, importantly, the opportunity to enjoy the company of like minded people both on and off the course.

We have a full calendar of events with matches played every Wednesday throughout the year. There are “headline” events with trophies to the winners and your name on the honours board. We also organise “Senior Day Games” which are no less competitive but might have a slight variation to the scoring to give everyone a chance of winning a small prize.

Many of the events are followed by a presentation meal with partners often invited so that they can put a face to the names that they hear on a regular basis across the dinner table.

During the summer months we have home and away inter club fixtures. This is a wonderful opportunity to play some of the best courses in the area – all for the price of a meal.

We are a “mixed” section and all our fixtures and matches are open to ladies and gentlemen over the age of 55.
